The Coaching Relationship

The Coaching Relationship

The coaching relationship is highly personal. The coach genuinely cares about the client and strives, in the first instance by attentive and non-critical listening, to help him or her to find solutions to his/her problems.  For coaching to succeed, it must be founded in a relationship that is real and in which mutual trust and openness will develop. The client’s trust in his/her coach will start with reliance on the confidentiality of the conversation. In a successful relationship, trust will blossom into absolute confidence in the coach's integrity and unstinting commitment and support.

The relationship should also ideally draw on relevant life experience. John offers a personal coaching service based on everything that he has learned in a diverse 47 year working life
